As the summer continues full steam ahead, our friends at Enchufada have started the fourth series of their Upper Cut free releases. To kick it off they bring the heat with a hypnotic, percussive track from DC's Obeyah. It doesn't get much heavier than this. Think if the classic Cajmere track "Percolator" had a baby with dancehall and that's what this track sounds like. It's almost begging for some of the biggest dancehall MC's to go over it and I have no problem imagining someone like Vybz Kartel dropping mad vocal on it. This one has already supported by the Main Course label crew on their Dim Mak mix and Branko on his Unlisted mix. If you ain't been on Obeyah you've been missing out and should check out his website. If you already been into his music you should still go to his website. What you find may surprise you.

Can't wait to hear all the rest of these!
