Because apparently everyone's simply too busy to throw some fried chicken in the fireplace themselves nowadays, KFC has introduced an official firelog that they swear smells like deceased domesticated fowl. Well, they did introduce this log and it was available until it promptly sold out.
The limited edition Enviro-Log collab is formally known as the "11 Herbs & Spices Firelog" and, per KFC, aims to "make a fire smell less like fire and more like fried chicken." The logs are made of 100 percent recycled materials, typically burn for as long as 3 hours, have long-term storage capabilities, and are wholly inedible. KFC even launched a website for log sales.
At the time of this writing, this was the message would-be log purchasers were receiving:
In that particular photo, with no size comparison points, the packaging kinda makes it look like a KFC burrito. And much like chicken, actual burritos can also be tossed into one's fireplace for a unique holiday aroma. So maybe just do that instead of buying faux logs that smell like the food you love? As a bonus, the ashes count as leftovers.
Firelog aiming to smell like anything but fires or logs is nothing new. A quick Googling will give you hoards of scented options including (but certainly not limited to) coffee, cinnamon, potpourri, and—least appealing of all—pumpkin spice.
