After catapulting single-alphet wearing, $6 billion dollar in a day making Mark Zuckerberg to become the sixth richest person in the world, valued at an estimated $47 billion dollars, Facebook itself has catapulted to one of the most valued companies on the planet.

Mashablereports Facebook's market value overtook Exxon Mobil's on Monday to become the fourth most valued company. Citing financial research firm FactSet Mashable reported Facebook's market valued at $323 billion while Exxon Mobil’s market value was $316 billion. In 2015 alone Facebook reportedly earned $18 billion. Exxon Mobil's falling numbers are attributed to, as Mashable explains, the steady decline in oil prices and subsequent layoffs.

Facebook finds itself among three other tech giants as the most powerful companies worldwide. Facebook rounds out the top four behind Microsoft, which trails Alphabet (Google). Apple is the highest valued, though reports say Alphabet could soon beat out Apple.

Besides working on improving your timeline and cutting your slacking off time at work, Facebook has been doing important work like banning gun sales on Facebook and on Instagram.
