Ahead of today’s hardware announcement, Apple seems to have accidentally leaked details of the next generation of its products, per Deadline.
Guilherme Rambo, a tech writer for 9to5mac, came across some marketing images from the company that have since been removed. They showcase the new iPhones and Apple Watch Series 4.
On the company’s product sitemap, allthings.how also found an XML file for Apple’s online store that confirms the name of the next gen products, iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR, as well as details about the display sizes, colorways, and storage. Information about the new Apple Watch was also included, revealing new options for wider band sizes.
The biggest takeaway is the confirmation of the iPhone XR, a product rumored to be a cheaper iPhone option with 6.1-inch LCD display.
The file ATH discovered is no longer on the site, and has been replaced with a notice that the Apple Store is making updates.
The official announcement of Apple’s new products happens at 10 a.m. PST at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. For the first time ever, the tech giant will be streaming the event live on Twitter in addition to its website.
