New York governor Andrew Cuomo was filmed helping a man involved in a car accident on Monday. Cuomo and his team were reportedly leaving an event run by A Better New York, when they came across a van on its side on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. They were on their way to catch a flight, but the sight of the crash prompted Cuomo to help the man out of his seatbelt.
NYPD had yet to arrive at the scene at the time the clip was taken, but Cuomo was reportedly seen hugging a woman after he assisted the man stuck in the van. The state police he was traveling with at the time joined him.
Since this has happened before, most notably in 2017 when he helped a stranded driver on a snowy road, Twitter had plenty of jokes to make about Cuomo's ability to be in the perfect place for a photo opportunity.
