Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have united against Trump’s latest Twitter storm.
On Sunday, Trump targeted a group of progressive congresswomen of color, referring specifically to Ocasio-Cortez alongside Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. Trump tweeted that they should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
Pelosi replied quickly to Trump's bigoted tirade.
AOC chimed in too, also referring to the mass immigration raids taking place across the U.S. on Sunday:
Tlaib responded as well, calling Trump “lawless” and a “complete failure as a president.”
AOC and Pelosi have recently gone head-to-head over comments Pelosi made that have been regarded as contentious toward four progressive freshmen Democrats known as “the squad”: Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, Omar, and Ayanna Pressley.
Trump singled out the congresswomen after news surfaced of tension between them and Pelosi over the direction of the Democratic Party.
