Vimeo Has Removed Alex Jones' 'Infowars' Account From Platform

On Sunday, Vimeo followed in the footsteps of YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Spotify by deleting ‘Infowars’ from their website.

Following in the footsteps of Facebook, YouTube, and Spotify, Vimeo has also removed Alex Jones' Infowars from housing videos on their platform, doing so on Sunday.

"We can confirm that Vimeo removed Infowars' account on Sunday, August 12 following the uploading of videos on Thursday and Friday that violated our Terms of Service prohibitions on discriminatory and hateful content," they said in a statement, according to CNET. "Vimeo has notified the account owner and issued a refund."

As alluded to above, the video sharing site is just the latest to scrub the conspiracy theorist's content from being shared on their service by citing their community standards and guidelines. In addition to those companies in the intro paragraph, LinkedIn, Apple, and Pinterest have also banned the outlet.

Despite outcry, Twitter has brushed back against doing so...

...though they did opt to delete some of Infowars and Jones' posts.
