Football fans all over the world are trying to track down this young Lionel Messi fan.
The unidentified boy, from war-torn Iraq, was photographed wearing a homemade Lionel Messi shirt made out of a plastic bag and now that the photo has been shared by thousands online, rumours are that Lionel Messi wants to present him with a real shirt instead.
BuzzFeed reports that the photo was originally taken in the battle-hardened Iraqi region of Dohuk but the source of the image – as well as the identity of the boy in it – is unknown.
This fan account claims Lionel Messi wants to track down the child.
Messi has yet to acknowledge he's seen the photo via his own social profiles but @messi10stats remains one of Twitter's biggest Messi fan accounts with 688,000 followers.
Let's get this child the shirt he deserves.
