Premiere: Brunswick Mixes Bitterness And Nostalgia On "Cold Sores"

"A lovestruck figure imagining being with his ex for one more time, just to feel the way he did before summer started."

Last week, London-based alt-pop singer and producer Brunswick released his latest mixtape We Surround Ourselves With Chaos, a wildly eclectic 9-track tape that spanned big room pop, R&B, indie, electro and some experimental sounds that make nods to the likes of Hudson Mohawke and Arca.

Today, he's following that up with visuals for the brooding "Cold Sores". On the face of it, the new single is an emotionally-driven alt-pop track with hints of R&B, but there's some surprising moments in there too, not least the wall of sound crescendo halfway through the track. The visuals follow, as Brunswick explained to Complex via email, "a lovestruck figure imagining being with his ex for one more time, just to feel the way he did before summer started."
