Ice-T was confused for Ice Cube on Twitter, and he clapped back at the person silly enough to make the mistake.

When you're dealing with common names like Mike, Steve, or Chris, it's easy to get people mixed up from time-to-time. This doesn't tend to be a problem with rappers though—there are thousands of distinct monikers in the hip-hop world, from Slick Rick to Ghostface Killah.

That doesn't mean there isn't some overlap. Ice Cube and Ice-T share the first part of their rap names, and both were integral figures in the West Coast gangsta rap movement. Evidently, this may have been enough for one Twitter user to confuse the two and fire a shot at the wrong guy.

Ice-T was minding his own business on Friday night, while Cube was busy making an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher, speaking out against Maher's recent use of the "n-word." After Cube spoke out on the matter, one confused social media user attacked T for what Cube had to say, and T wasted no time responding.

Wrong Ice Bitch... https://t.co/pw2AXCMFnC

The woman's tweet (and account) have since been deleted, but screenshots live forever.

The clapback from the O.G. sent Twitter into hysterics, as they all piled on Susan for having the gall to attack the wrong Ice.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! OWNAGE!!!!
😂😂😂 I guess all pieces of ice look the same in his eyes. Lol
😭😭😭😭

These two claim to be accustomed to the mix-ups, and they opened up about the phenomenon on an episode of Ice & Coco back in 2015. "I even wrote a rhyme—every day on the street somebody calls me Cube, I tell 'em that's my loved one but it's Ice-T dude," said Ice-T.

The elder rapper said there's a silver lining, however. "It's fortunate that we're friends," said Ice-T. "Because imagine getting named somebody that you didn't like, like don't call me that name man."

The two rap legends go back decades, so they don't fret too much about being mis-identified anymore. But you should probably be careful when you go to address one of them, because both these guys will roast you hard if you don't come correct. In the words of Marlo Stanfield, "My name is my name!"
