This Thursday (Dec. 1), Moveltraxx will be releasing a new 3-track EP, Downa Ride, from Paris-born, London-based label head Big Dope P. Featuring the title track, the EP also features original cut "Still Trill", a collaboration with long-time friend and Ed Banger affiliate Feadz, and DMP, with some of his rabble-rousing bars. Sonically, there are club sounds familiar to fans of Baltimore, Jersey and Philly's respective club scenes, but "Still Trill" has a much more international sound (there's even some grimey bass in there), though just as manic and raw as anything either city exported. Thankfully, Big Dope P has decided to launch the EP in his new home city of London.
