We could be anticipating something big on today’s episode of OVO Sound Radio. If you have been a regular listener, we usually get a heads up on who will be the special guest. Instead, the artwork is our hint, which is made up of yellow, green and black. It’s the same colorways as the Jamaican flag. From the looks of DJ Maximum's Instagram, we'll be getting a grime mix and possibly a reggae mix.
The build-up to episode 16 could lead us to some clues on what might be played. This week, Rihanna and Drake finally dropped their highly anticipated video for “Work.” It’s a double feature, and we spoke to Director X about it here.
There was also PARTYNEXTDOOR’s reference track for “Work” that surfaced online. That’s a big indication that maybe we’ll hear PND’s rendition in full.
Lastly, Drake was out in London for the BRIT Awards, where he made a surprise appearance during Rihanna’s performance for “Work.” Then he showed up to a Section Boyz/Skepta show and shut it down. We wouldn’t be surprised if Drizzy and Skepta announce a new collaboration during the BBK set.
