The Brisbane artist has all the chill on a brand new reinterpretation of the James Blake standard.

Brisbane artist Feki has had quite the year. At 20 years old, the future-beats prodigy has flooded his Soundcloud with a torrent of quality material in 2016, leading to a nomination for a J Award for Unearthed Artist of the Year.

The down-tempo don has also deftly managed to land himself a support gig for trap royalty RL Grime, along with placement on the bill for OutsideIn, One Day Only, Listen Out and the upcoming Beyond The Valley Festival. On top of that, he's still an active member of the dream-pop band Yuuca, and boasts a pretty strong Snapchat game (his handle is fekmaster, if you're curious).

In this Complex AU premiere, he's teamed up with fellow Brisbane band Glasshouse, to cover the UK's king of experimental electronica, James Blake. While it's lofty for anyone to attempt to do justice to a Blake song, these guys were clearly up to the task.

Faithful to the sombre original, the song adds a touch of saxophone for a more sultry tone, airy vocals, and a trap-infused breakdown that gives the song a feeling of restrained energy that strongly suits the subject matter. If you're up for an uber-chill start to the week, make sure to check out the track for yourself below.
