Having already gained notoriety for his skills as a gifted ghost producer and remixer, Roni Kush is ready to step into the spotlight. With a new EP on Foreign Language Records, he has just shared with us this first track, the pounding "Robot Noize". A muted synth melody, penetrating low-end stabs and some ultra-crisp production provide a rock-solid foundation for the robotic, commanding vocal sample that draws you into a hypnotised state where the only thing that makes sense is dancing. And isn't that what makes techno great? That disorienting feeling of being trapped in a futuristic night club with no escape and no other option than to dance? The Robot Noize EP is due out Sept. 28.
