Hailing from the West End of Toronto, 24-year-old rapper SeT released his debut LP AuRA a little less than a year ago, and he’s ending off the album’s promotional cycle on a strong note with a music video for album closer “Concepteur Etoiles.”
“‘Concepteur Etoiles’ is essentially my tunnel vision perspective on life,” says SeT. “No obstacle or road block, no matter the size or significance, has ever stopped me from chasing my dreams. I am still here. I am still going. The treatment reflects this, even when drowning and fighting to live, I always manage to find the light.”
Born Khalik Provo, SeT’s sound merges the visceral energy of Meek Mill with the pop sensibility of Kid Cudi, making him an exciting force in Toronto’s new school of emcees. Directed by Kostadin Kolev, this visual feels like the first step in a series of big moves for the young artist in 2015.
