Hayden James shot into worldwide consciousness last year with the release of his stunning debut; beautifully arranged and sequenced, the eponymous EP showcased James' ability to match floaty, ambient house synths with delicately indulgent vocals. The latest offering from the Australian producer comes in the form of "Something About You", which is an exclusive cut taken from Future Classic's forthcoming compilation, Teen Idols.
Oft an afterthought (or in some cases, barely even known) in the reckoning of Hayden James' capacities as a producer, is his ease in getting behind the mic and laying down complimentary vocals. James goes this route again here, as "Something About You" succeeds in maintaining a buoyant feel amidst lively stab sections and a staggering funk bassline.
