This summer’s upcoming 100-ball cricket competition, The Hundred, have linked up with iconic headwear band New Era on a new capsule collection of new lifestyle caps as the hype around the tournament builds.

Shot by award-winning photographer Andrew Whitton, the lookbook brings together the worlds of streetwear and cricket for the first time to celebrate the epic entertainment and high energy sporting action thaty will kick off it’s debut season in July.

Featuring eight teams across seven cities – London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds and  Southampton – each team’s design and personality is brought to life through New Era’s world-renowned  9FIFTY and 9FORTY snapback caps in lightweight, breathable and UV-protected Diamond Era fabric.

This collaborative caps will be donned by world class players on the pitch, with The Hundred joining some of the most high-profile sports around the globe, including NBA, NFL and MLB, in its association and official three-year partnership with New Era.

Speaking about The Hundred and the significance of the collection, England’s cricketing superstar and Southern Brave player Jofra Archer told COMPLEX: “When I was growing up in Barbados, I had about 50 New Era caps, so the brand isn’t too unknown to me!

“New Era caps are something that have been around my whole life, and something that I’ve grown up with. This collab – and the way it’s being positioned – makes a lot of sense. The next generation are going to take cricket further than what we’re doing now, so the more people we can get engaged with cricket now, the better it’s going to be as a sport in the future.

The Hundred is gonna benefit us as cricketers as well as the fans, too. With there being more cricket on, it helps with the build up to World Cups. It’s not just good for fans to – for players it’s really good preparation for us – being able to use our performances there to push on will be good.”
