Due to unfornuate business practices over the past 10 years or so, hockey has faded from the popularity it once held. But things are starting to change. The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full-effect right now, and the drunken rowdiness that hockey ensues is once again engulfing the sports world.

Oddly enough, London brand Casely-Hayford has taken to the winter sport for its fall/winter 2013 collection. It's not that vintage hockey jerseys aren't great—they're pretty awesome—it's just not everyday you see the sport's aesthetic translated to high fashion.

Designers Sean Frank and Charlie Casely-Hayford gave an insight into what drew them into the world of '70s and '80s hockey. "I had been watching a lot of 1970s and 80s NHL footage on YouTube and loved the saturated colour, bad facial hair and dodgy graphics," Frank said.

Also, Casely-Hayford was intrigued by the concept of body armor, and the many pads a hockey player must wear. "AW13 was about creating an army of Casely-Hayford men. We wanted to convey this idea of clothing as body armour. The ice hockey theme was a great analogy for that," Casely-Hayford said.

Watch the video above and see if you might want to be the best-dressed dude at the ice rink this upcoming season.
