Oh snap! It's Friday the 13th! Hear that sound behind you? It's the telltale breathing noise of machete-wielding, superhuman killer Jason Voorhees. For over 30 years, the deformed, murderous offspring of Pamela Voorhees has terrorized everyone from horny teenagers to sexy space cyborgs (yes, it's true).
Most people recognize his trademark hockey mask, but he's had quite a few costume changes in between body counts. Let's take a closer look at how this character stays killing it, check out our Style History: Jason Voorhees.

Appearing only in visions and flashbacks in the first film, Jason was given a face only a mother could love from the start.

Before he found the goalie mask that would become his signature accessory, Jason settled for a simple cloth. Not quite as threatening, but he could still kill you.

Jason makes his 3-D debut as a hockey-masked mass murderer, while keeping his closet full of workwear staples like twill pants and button down shirts. His crispy kit didn't stay clean for long, though.
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Jason's workwear outfit stays pretty similar for his next killing spree, although late in the film he does gain a new look: a gash at the top of his head thanks to a machete — which only served to piss him off even more.
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning
Movie: Friday the 13th: A New Beginning
Year: 1985
Actor: Dick Wieand
Spoiler Alert! Although it turns out this iteration of Jason is merely a copycat killer, Roy Burns puts his own personal twist on the Voorhees uniform. Mixing it up with slate blue coveralls, even his hockey mask is adorned with blue accents, as opposed to Jason's usual red accents.

Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Movie: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Year: 1988

In this film, Jason squares off with a telekinetic teenager. He also takes some time to enjoy a dip in Crystal Lake, while rocking a chain no less. We think he could have used some advice on purchasing a proper necklace. Nice gloves though!
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

For his trip to the Big Apple, Jason rocks a look that's part Nepenthes NYC, and part Derelicte by Derek Mugatu. Check out the tattered shirt and pants. Dude was doing the grunge look way before it was cool.
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
Movie: Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
Year: 1993

Ok, so in the last movie, Jason was rocking tattered threads to make a fashion statement. In this one, it's because he's apparently been taking a shitload of steroids and working the fuck out.

If you guys are fighting over who has the better outfit... it's gotta be Freddy Krueger. At least Jason didn't molest children though, so, he's got that going for him.
