Trevor S. is not a full-time comedian, but, thanks to the magical world of Twitter, that shit doesn't matter. His accounts, @trevso_electric and @danced_blessed, have garnered a following upwards of 50,000 devoted fans (Trevheads? JK), anxious to hear his next witticism, Rick Ross impersonation, or completely fucking ridiculous day-to-day observation. In fact, it's Trevor's awareness of man's innate desire to be a total asshat 99.9% of the time that had us wondering what, exactly, his least favorite summer styles were, conveniently served up here as a part of our "Summer Style Tips" series.

sweaterneck
"Don't tie a sweater around your neck/shoulders and wear it outside on purpose."
"This 'fashion statement' makes my blood boil. Oh? You brought along a sweater in case a cool, spritzy ocean breeze visits you on your yacht? Nobody looks cool with a sweater tied around their neck. It makes you look like a geriatric poseur who would jump at the chance to own slaves if it were still legal. Commit to the sweater or leave it at home."
ssbutton
"No short-sleeve oxfords or short-sleeve button downs."
"Button down shirts are classy and nice in summer. I especially like gingham if you can pull it off without looking like a picnic table. If you get hot, ventilate your fine self and stay looking fashionable by rolling up your sleeves. Rolling up your sleeves also gives you a false air of purposefulness—like, maybe you're about to change a tire or toss a rugby or whatever the fuck real men do. But short sleeves cancel out the classy and make you look like Dwight Schrute or the manager of a local Taco Bell."
eyesboobs
"Don't compliment a girl's eyes under a photo of her boobs."
"This applies to every season, but it's especially relevant. It's summer and boobs are out. Girls are proud of them and they want you to notice them...to a degree. When she Instagrams a picture of her cleavage in a bikini and you write 'beautiful eyes,' it's way more creepy and gauche because you're avoiding the intended focal point. In my case, I just write: 'I love your boobs' or jerk off to the picture and say nothing like a gentleman."
tanktops
"No tank tops."
"It doesn't matter how built or nicely sculpted your body is. No man should expose his rib region and chest to such a bold extent. Tank tops are beautiful on women because they accentuate their breasts and delicate arms. Perhaps because I too have breasts and delicate arms, I feel exceedingly uncomfortable in tank tops and I don't trust men wearing them."
beard
"Grow a beard, and tend to it."
"Seems everyone has a beard these days. I went 26 years without one until last year on vacation when I forgot a razor. At first I felt weird and kind of vulnerable, just letting the hair sprout out of my face, but it reached a point in which there was apparently a transformation from 'lazy and neglectful' to 'purposeful and handsome.' A beard is like a bug-zapper for girls with daddy issues. It accentuates your jawline and gives you a degree of character, but you need to keep it short and neatly groomed unless you're rich as fuck or famous and can afford to look like Rasputin or Burt from Burt's Bee's."
chesthair
"Don't shave or wax your chest hair."
"A lot of guys feel self-conscious about their body hair, based on a misguided notion that girls will be turned off by seeing it. This fear has given rise to the bloodcurdling, creepy slang 'manscaping,' in which guys are rushing to rid any trace of body hair. No! I love my chest hair. It grows like a wild Jewish lion's mane and I consider it an asset. There's nothing quite like post-sex cuddling, feeling a woman contentedly running her fingers through your chest hair. You need not grow a wild jungle, but give her something to run her fingers through. Believe in yourself."
gimmicky
"Lay off the gimmicky sneakers."
"I used to spend a lot of money on flashy pairs of sneakers by Creative Recreation and Alejandro Ingelmo amongst others. While the sneakers themselves were aesthetically beautiful, I quickly realized that they made me look like I was trying too hard. Unless you're Pharrell or some super cool artist/skater, the flashy sneaker quickly become a distracting focal point. Air Jordans are especially heinous. They literally cost about 2 dollars to make, so their value is purely perceived and psychological, but can very well set you back a month's rent for something that negates your natural cool. As Macklemore wisely said: 'If you're trying to get girls with a brand, man, you hella won't.'"
text
"Don't keep texting a girl who isn't responding."
"So many guys make the mistake of continuing to badger a girl who isn't responding to their text messages. Don't do it. If she isn't responding, she has a good reason, like she lost service or isn't into you and 99% of the time it's the latter. If you send a text and she doesn't respond, the second message invariably makes you look desperate. By the third time, guys often say some weird, childish shit like, 'guess you forgot about me? haha :(' Listen to me: DO NOT KEEP TEXTING HER IF SHE ISN'T RESPONDING. By the third message, she will Instagram a picture of that shit and blow up your spot."
