Most of us have taken a nap on a plane before, and it's nothing to write home about. The cushions are stiff, the sounds from the plane and crying babies are deafening, and you can't put your seat back 5 inches without getting a knee to the spine every 20 minutes. At the Costa Verde Hotel, sleeping on a plane takes on a whole new meaning.
The resort in Costa Rica features what they call the "727 Fuselage Home," an actual 1965 Boeing 727 jet that has been gutted and turned into a private wood-paneled suite 50 feet above the ground. With a working bathroom, wing deck, two air-conditioned bedrooms, and views of the ocean and jungle, this really is one of the coolest places you could ever hope to visit.
