We promise, we're not as sadistic and awful as this post makes us look. We really dont' enjoy looking and hearing about crash after accident after wreck, but it's something that should be noted as a point to prove how dangerous cars, supercars in particular, can be, if you don't take car. Some of these aren completely the driver's fault, some aren't the driver's fault at all, and others don't even have a driver involved at all. Take a look at the Audi R8s, the Corvette Z06s, the Ferrari 458s, and the Bentley Continental GTs that have been smashed up over the past five months with The 25 Worst Supercar Crashes of 2013 So Far.

Lamborghini Murcielago

This is what happens when somebody drives drunk after a new year's celebration in Malaysia. So much for that resolution to save money ...

Lamborghini Aventador

Pretty basic accident here: Somebody overran a turn at a Chinese Race Circuit and got stuck in a gravel trap. Cool story, bro.

World's Fastest Chevrolet Camaro

This was the fastest Camaro in the world, clocking in at 263.2 mph at the semi-annual Texas Mile event in Beeville, TX late last year. At the event this year, trying to improve on the time, driver Joey Honeycutt lost control of the 2,800hp car at about 220 mph, flipped it a number of times, and completely destroyed the ride. Miraculously, Honeycutt wasn't killed in the crash and seems to have avoided any serious injuries.

Ferrari 458 Italia

Ever get stuck behind one of those car trucks and just freak yourself out thinking about what would happen if one of those cars were to fly off and come tumbling at you like in the movies? Well, that's basically what happened with this Ferrari on a flatbed.

Audi R8

Police in South Africa stopped a man suspected of transporting narcotics (in his R8?). The dude speeds away (while an officer was in the passenger seat!?), and lost control, ripping a beautiful R8 completely in half. Good job, ace.

Bugatti Veyron

This Veyron was on the track, overshot a turn and went face first into the tire-padded guard rail. Unfortunately, he was going fast enough to cause some pretty decent damage. Damage that probably costs more than most of your cars.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The 405 Freeway in Sepulveda Pass in Cali nearly turned into the new death valley, after this driver rammed into the back of a semi. Completely destroying a C6 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in the process, the driver apparently ducked at the last second and walked away from the accident without any major injuries. We're happy to see he's okay, but we'll definitely be pouring some out for this lost 'vette.

Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4

This crash happened just last week, when, on a press drive, a journalist lost control on slick roads and wrecked a brand new Gallardo 560-4. Fortunately, he was okay.

McLaren F1

Mr. Bean's accident didn't actually happen this year, but we finally found out how much the repairs were going to cost to bring this beautiful F1 back to life. The bill came out to be an astounding $1.44 million, the highest of all time in the U.K.

Ferrari F12berlinetta

Compared to the others, this isn't really news. Except it is, because, even though it was just a fender bender, it was the first Ferrari F12berlinetta crash in the world.

Ferrari 458 Italia

Occurring during an actual Ferrari Challenge event, this is the worst and most visually disturbing crash on the list. Hitting around 150 mph, the explosion of car parts was caught on tape, when the 458 hit a safety rail.

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

It's one thing to crash a Lamborghini. It's another to crash a Superleggera Lamborghini. This was an unregistered car in Xi An that was exposed in the worst of ways, when it hit the center barricade and swerved back across three lanes of traffic into the grass. We can't imagine how bad the rubbernecking was at this crash scene.

Mansory Bentley Continental GT

Dutch soccer player Eljero Elias crashed his $300,000 Mansory-edition Bentley Continental GT while driving in London earlier this month. We expect it to be fixed up and back on the road in no time.

Eight Ferraris and one Lamborghini

The 61-year-old lead driver and nine others, in what many called the most expensive crash in the world, have had their cases sent to criminal court on suspicion of violating a long list of traffic laws.

Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

This was part of a one-week stretch at the beginning of the year during which five different Lamborghinis were crashed in separate situations. This one happened to drive nose first into a sky bridge during a fireworks show in Marina Bay, Singapore.

Bentley Continental GT

Yes, that's a toasted Bentley inside a condominium complex. What makes it worse is that this was owned by NBA player Jordan Hill. Before you pass judgements, he wasn't the one driving. In fact, he wasn't even in the car. You can blame his friend Michael Lacey for this one.

Tesla Model S

What the Tesla has been accomplishing lately makes it a supercar in our book (not really, but sorta). This exact one, unfortunately, got a little too up close and personal with a building, thanks to its 71-year-old owner.

Ferrari 360 Modena

We hope we have some readers as dedicated as this guy is to wreckedexotics.com. Before he went to the hospital to tend to his broken vertebrae, he made sure to take, and send, plenty of photos to the crash website.

Lamborghini Murcielago

Not only was this LP640 completely destroyed, whoever destroyed it ran away after the accident. A guy and a girl were seen leaving the crash, but police never figured out who the owner was. Can we claim it?

Ferrari 458 Italia

If we were to buy a brand new Underground Racing Ferrari 458 Italia, we're pretty sure we wouldn't be doing any speed tests within the first week, let alone the first two days. But, alas, that's exactly what happened in this white supercar. The results were not pretty. During a Festival of Speed, the driver of this Ferrari, who had just purchased the car two days previous, decided to hit the strip and test out how fast it could go. He couldn't stop fast enough and went straight into a swampy area past the runway.

Just for the record, Underground Racing mods put this car at up to 1,000 horsepower, thanks to incredible twin-turbos.

Jaguar F-Type

When you give out your cars to journalists, who are essentially strangers, as much as car manufacturers do, it's only a matter of time before you get burned. It's part of the nature of the beast, and unfortunately human error is a very real thing. The pre-production Jaguar F-Type, which will start at $69,000, you see above hit a rock barrier, when a journalist lost control around a turn. Fortunately, he was not injured.

Nissan GT-R

As this photo proves, a 19-year-old behind the powerful Nissan GT-R can prove deadly (well, any age could prove deadly, really). The boy passed away and injured two in the accident.

Toyota GT86

Not exactly a supercar, but this is one of the Top 5 gnarliest crashes we've seen all year (and it's still one of the most popular sports cars in the world right now). This GT-86 tragically drove off a cliff to a rocky ending.

Lamborghini Aventador

This guy must have been so mesmorized by his awesome dash that he completely missed the fact that there was a rickshaw right in front of him. RIP to the passenger's side front end.

Aston Martin DBS

How would you feel if a piece-of-shit Vauxhall that is valued at approximately $1,000 ran into your car that is valued at something around $270,000?
