It's always frustrating when you drive into a sand trap. It's much more difficult to hit out of, you'll probably lose a stroke, and you have to bother cleaning up with those stupid rakes. However, when this Massachusetts woman ended up in the bunker, it wasn't her golf ball that she had to fish out; it was her car.
Forty-six-year-old Patricia Maione blamed her GPS for telling her to turn left, taking her through a cornfield and onto Whitinsville Golf Club. This driving mistake didn't just put her over par, though. She ended up over an eight-to-10-foot hill and into the bottom of a the trap. The police believe the woman was drinking prior to the accident.
