As we've shown you in our gallery of favorite cars from this weekend, automobile design is all in the details. The salacious curves, the brilliant chrome trim, and the intricate lines in the grille are all working together to portray one single statement. One of the final pieces, but certainly no less important, to that vehicle package is the hood ornament. These days, Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce are the most well-known and pronounced cars with distinguished ornaments, however, in the early parts of the 20th century, auto makers thought of this piece as another work of art. Starting with the wild Native American-riding-snail piece on a 1911 Fiat you see above, these are the 25 Most Beautiful Hood Ornaments we saw at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
