Over the past five years, the trend of dipping cars in chrome has become a trendy way to get the public's attention. Most recently, Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian have been spotted in the shiny whips and have received mostly negative feedback. If we had to choose, we'd probably agree with the general consensus, adding full-chrome customizations to our list of 25 Car Modification Fails. As you can see on a few of our examples, it can look cool, but most of the time, it just looks like an auto insurance company's worst nightmare. We found everything from Bentleys to Bugattis to Ferraris wrapped in chrome. Starting with the Aston Martin you see above, click on to see 25 Crazy Custom Chrome Cars.

BMW M5
MOZ Luxury Wheels made an appearance at Max Racing in Russia last year, and the rims company wanted a way to set the presentation of its product apart. A chrome BMW M5 will certainly do that. But wouldn't it also take away from the glitz and glam of the rims?
Cadillac Escalade
We see most Escalades in blacked-out stealth or with super flashy chrome 24-inch rims, but this is the first time we've seen a mirror-finish 'lac. It was seen in Jeddah City in Saudi Arabia, and oddly enough, this was just step one. It was later finished with second gold layer.
Ferrari 599 GTB
For those who don't know, this car is named after the Fiorano circuit Ferrari. GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and '599' is the displacement of the V12 engine divided by 10.
Porsche 911 Turbo
This 997 Turbo was seen in London but is still from the United Arab Emirates, home of the most guady cars in the world. We'd transport it to other countries just to show people, too.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3
During the F1 German Grand Prix in Hockenheim in 2010, Laureus Design took the racing version of the Benz SLS and flashed it out. At least people could check themselves out while drifting behind this car. That's if that insanely humongous wing doesn't get in the way.
Range Rover
Dear Lord. Range Rover, we are so, so sorry this happened to you. We vow to kidnap you and return you to your original form if we ever find where you're hiding. Let's just hope your owner doesn't figure out how to chrome tires and taillights before we get to you.
Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT
It's bad enough that people can destroy a fantastic sports car by wrapping it in chrome, but it's even worse when the wrap is done poorly. You'll see what we mean in the video. Awful.
Rolls-Royce Phantom
Of course this was seen in Abu Dhabi. Where else?
Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Of all the cars on this list, this is one of the most bothersome. The G-Class is classic. Mercedes doesn't mess with it's awesome look, and neither should you.
Maybach 62
British entrepreneur Theo Paphitis had his 62 decorated each year for Red Nose Day. This particular year, he chose the overall theme of shiny. We'd still take this customization over 'Ye and Jay's.
Ferrari 458 Challenge
We always feel a little better about the chroming when we know the company did it. This Ferrari was seen racing around at the Cavalino Classic Ferrari and Maserati festival in Florida and belongs to Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale.
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster
As many people have stated, these cars could be very dangerous. Anybody that was driving in London that day had to be extra careful not to get blinded by this monstrosity.
Bentley GT
We actually like the way this looks on the Bent.
Porsche Carrera 4 Cabriolet
This dude's girlfriend will certainly be happy that she doesn't have to keep a pocket mirror in her clutch anymore.
Chevrolet Corvette
It's never good when your car makes us think of the Silver Bullet (which is now associated with really shitty beer), but the Corvette can pull this look off. Why doesn't it have chrome rims, though?
BMW M3 E93 Convertible
This is the product of Russian garage Dereiter Racing. We wish we could tell you more, but we didn't understand a damn thing the people said in the video.
Hummer H2
Weilheim-based CarFilmComponents tricked out this testosteronemobile in "burning chrome" lamination. On the inside of this puppy, there's a massive entertainment system that includes a mini fridge. Is it worth having to look at that to get inside, though? Probably not.
Nissan Skyline
We don't know what's flashier, the New York skyline on a sunny August day or this Nissan.
Ferrari F430
This is one of few times when two chrome vehicles ended up in the same place. How angry would you be showing up expecting to really stand out, only to have somebody else mirror your swag?
Shelby GT500 Super Snake
This Mustang is one of the least flashy on the list. Done up by Chrome and Carbon autos in Dubai, it has a less shiny look. That's probably why we like it better than half the others.
Nissan GTR
We found this 2009 vinyl chrome-wrapped Black Edition GTR on Jameslist. It was listed in Sheffield, U.K., but was sold. Already one of the fastest road cars available, this GTR will blind you with it's speed and its ridiculous exterior.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
Arsenal Defender William Gallas paid $535,000 and Blackburn Rovers Striker Ello Hadji Diouf paid $642,000 for chromed SLR McLarens. We dont' think they're allowed to be called the "Sport, Leicht, Rennsport" anymore, though. With this look, we dub it the Super Luminescent Ride, because we're just that corny.
Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti is already one of the most ostentatious rides in the world. Put a chrome wrap on it, and you're guaranteed that top spot. It just seems wrong to us. You know, altering a vehicle that costs you more than $1 million.
Audi R8
Scott Disick has a chrome-wrapped Audi R8, and Kim Kardashian tweeted a couple pictures for all to see. "Scott's sick new car! Chrome!" she exclaimed. We're hoping Scott one day pulls up next to Justin Bieber's chrome Fisker Karma and the two face off in an all-chrome supercar street race. You can see a Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupé hangin' out in the background as well.
Fisker Karma
We aren't fans of TMZ in any imagination of the word, but we have to admit that the company's employees are extremely good at being shitty people and obsessive stalkers. Without missing a beat, TMZ spotted pop sensation Justin Bieber out for a drive with his boo in his $100,000 Fisker Karma. It doesn't look like it did when it was gifted to him, however. As if he needed any more flash, his electric whip is now 100 percent chromed out. Oh, and he added some black rims and neon purple runner lights as well. So much for being subtle.
