Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made an appearance at the Vancouver Canucks game this week and celebrated the team's victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Harry partook in the ceremonial puck drop with Sharks forward Thomas Hertl and Canucks captain Quinn Hughes standing beside him.

His presence in Vancouver was reportedly a part of the lead-up to the Invictus Games, an international sports-oriented competition founded by the Duke of Sussex for wounded, injured, and sick armed forces personnel.

The Hockey Night in Canada Twitter account noticed the couple celebrating when the Canucks scored and posted a video to its timeline.

Sportsnet, on the other hand, found them confused when a goal was called back due to goalie interference.

After the game, Hertl told reporters that he was trying to tell Prince Harry to drop the puck.

"I actually had to tell him (to drop the puck) because he keeps holding and smiling, Hertl said according to Yahoo! Sports. "I'd say 'it's time drop it,' but it's a cool moment. For sure I will remember that one.

The last time a member of the royal family dropped the puck came in 2002 when Queen Elizabeth II did it in a preseason game between the Canucks and the Sharks.
