Earlier this month, Hawks forward Thabo Sefoloshawas found not guilty of obstructing government administration, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest charges stemming from an incident that took place outside of New York City nightclub 1Oak back in April. Even though Sefoloshaโs leg was broken during the incident, police claimed that he was in the wrong that night. But now that he has been cleared of any wrongdoing, Sefolosha is reportedly going to sue New York City and the eight officers who took part in his arrest for $50 million.
The New York Post is reporting that Sefoloshaโs lawsuit will indicate that he suffered injuries that โare permanent in nature and continuing into the futureโ on the night in question. Itโs worth noting that the Hawks have stated that Sefolosha is close to 100 percent:
But Sefoloshaโs lawyer Alex Spiro told the Post that the NBA player โmay not be dunking as much as he was before this happened.โ
Stay tuned for additional details about the lawsuit.ย
