UPDATED 12/2, 9:30 p.m. ET: Authorities arrested Terrelle Pryor on simple assault charges, after he was treated for stab wounds Saturday morning.

CBS2 News reports the incident involved the QB's girlfriend, Shalaya Briston, as well as two other women who took Pryor to the hospital after the altercation.

"The only reason I’m here was to make sure that he didn’t die," one of the women reportedly said. "We should have just let him die."

The two women and Briston reportedly went to Pryor's apartment after going to a nightclub. The athlete, who did not accompany the women to the club, allegedly began arguing with Briston before things turned physical.

TMZ obtained court documents that gave more details on the altercation. A female witness (Briston's friend) says Pryor knocked her to the ground and began physically fighting with Briston. Pryor and Briston "locked up" and "began to tussle."

The fight moved from the hallway into the apartment, where it got more intense in the kitchen. The witness says they then saw Pryor clutching his chest and bleeding.

In the docs, the officer says one witness was voice texting into her watch and was overheard saying, "She was just defending herself and had to do it."

Pryor is accused of grabbing his girlfriend and hitting one of the women who attempted to break up the fight. As the altercation escalated, Pryor was allegedly stabbed by Pryor, who was also arrested Saturday on criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault.
