Fresh off of releasing a two-shoe collab with Diadora last month, Marvel keeps the sneaker collabs coming this year by revealing a new sneaker project with Bape.
Today, the legendary Japanese streetwear brand announced on Instagram that a new Marvel x Bape Sta collection that’s expected to hit stores soon. Each of the six colorways is inspired by The Avengers including Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Rocket Raccoon. The sneakers feature premium patent leather uppers while an image of the respective characters is stamped on the heel counter.
This isn’t the first time that Marvel and Bape have come together on a Bape Sta collab. In the mid 2000s, the duo released a series of Bape Sta styles that were also inspired by popular Marvel superheroes.
At the time of writing, release details for the new Marvel x Bape Sta collection have yet to be announced by either of the parties involved. Check back soon to Sole Collector for updates in the coming weeks.
UPDATE (11/18): After dropping in six colorways in August, Bape confirms that there are three more Marvel x Bape Stas releasing this month. This time, the looks are inspired by Spider-Man, Venom, and Doctor Strange, with the sneakers dropping exclusively at Tokyo’s Comic-Con happening on Nov. 25.
