After introducing the Air Max 1000 at ComplexCon last year, Nike is now using this year's event to unveil its new 3D-printed Air Max 95000.
Nike's upcoming Air Max sneaker is once again produced in partnership with the 3D-printing company Zellerfeld. Aesthetically, the silhouette looks like a fusion of the Air Max 95 and the Air Max 10000. This model also introduces Nike's Project Nectar, which is a printing process that offers the ability to add new color blockings instead of the tonal makeup seen on the majority of 3D-printed footwear. The Air Max 95000 also has the big bubble unit on the heel of the midsole and a smaller one at the forefoot.
"Zellerfeld was founded to reimagine how footwear is created and experienced,” Zellerfeld's CEO, Cornelius Schmitt, said. "What began as a profound idea to give creators more freedom has grown into something much bigger. Today, the brand we all grew up admiring is using our platform to design faster, test ideas instantly, experiment without limits, and bring entirely new silhouettes to life. Nike has always defined the future of footwear, and Zellerfeld's technology is helping unlock new possibilities in design."
The Air Max 95000 will make its debut at ComplexCon in Las Vegas this weekend at Nike's Mad Stadium activation before formally releasing on Nov. 28 via SNKRS and at Zellerfeld.com.
