A fake Nike recruitment campaign promising free sneakers and clothing is making the rounds on social media, apparently fooling a number of people over the last 24 hours.
Images posted by accounts such as @nike_recruitss ask users to follow and repost the flyers under the guise of becoming a Swoosh ambassador. The only problem? Nike is running no such promotion.
"That is not an authorized Nike account," the brand confirmed in a tweet this afternoon.
While the lure of free footwear and gear can be tempting, it's rare that brands—especially one of Nike's caliber—will crowdsource their ambassadors on social media.
