Two Men Could Face a Few Years Behind Bars for Stealing a Bunch of Nike KD 8s

Stealing a bunch of Nike KD 8s have landed a pair of dummies in a lot of trouble.

In another case of where doing it for the 'Gram goes wrong, two sneakerheads are facing potential prison sentences for stealing a dozen pairs of Kevin Durant's latest signature model, the Nike KD 8, a model that isn't slated to release until sometime in July.

Calvin Nelson, 23, and Audley Russell, 47 - both employees at John F. Kennedy Airport - are accused of intercepting the box containing the KDs while cargo was being unloaded from an Air China flight on May 9 and then attempting to sell them via the Instagram account, @snkr_base. As a result, the duo have been charged with grand larceny - a crime that carries a four year sentence if convicted. Officials stated that they were able to track the stolen sneakers via the serial numbers that appeared in several images showcasing the KDs.

In a couple posts depicting the KD 8s,  grievances were made as they called out sites and individuals who reposted their images without properly giving them proper credit as the first ones to bring news of the Nike KD 8 to the sneaker community. Well, it looks like they're getting all the credit they can handle and then some. Could a potential @snkr_prison account be on deck? We'll have to wait and see.
