It's the first week of releases for 2018 and Nike looks like it is trying to make an early impression in the new year. Of the 10 major releases this week, Nike and Jordan Brand are responsible for nine of them.
Releases start on Thursday when the Swoosh will debut the brand new Vapormax Utility model in a triple black color scheme alongside a Phoenix Suns-esque colorway of the popular Zoom Fly SP runner. Also on Thursday, a special PE of the Nike Kyrie 3 inspired by the "Raygun" SB Dunk Low from 2005 and a sequel to Nike's insanely hyped "Galaxy" Foamposite from 2012 will be dropping exclusively at Nike and Foot Locker's brand new Sneakeasy location in Boston.
Not to be forgotten, Adidas is also dropping product this Thursday in the form of two new colorways of its newest rendition of the popular NMD model, the NMD_R1 STLT, in black and white options. On Friday, Nike is bringing back a fusion model from 2010 by dropping an Air Force 1 Foamposite with a light carbon, iridescent upper and black accents.
To finish off the week of releases, Nike is delivering a new Kyrie 4 that seems to take inspiration from Irving's belief the Earth is flat, an Air More Money from the Currency Pack inspired by the U.S. Dollar, and an Air Jordan XXXII colorway that pays homage to MJ's 1988 MVP season and the iconic Air Jordan III "Black Cement" that all hit retailers on Saturday.

What You Need to Know: The Adidas Marathon TR is a bit of a legend at Adidas. It was designed in 1979 by Adi Dassler and was created for trail runners. That aside, the sole tread is actually made out of Trefoils. Talk about branding. The sneaker was also worn by Kanye West over a decade ago.
