Virgil Abloh has added the DNA of his Off-White label to yet another Nike silhouette. This time, Abloh has crafted a pair of the Mercurial Vapor 12 Elite soccer cleat, to be exact.
The boot is given a bright orange Flyknit upper with details including blue and white circles on the medial and lateral toe, a white Swoosh, Off-White branding on the insoles and medial side panels, and plenty of Abloh's signature phrasing in quotation marks. Among the phrases are "KNIT" on the lateral heel, "LOGO" by the Swoosh, and "FAST AF" on the cleated outsole. An identical pair that swapped out the spikes for a VaporMax tooling was also recently previewed by Abloh on Instagram.
While there is currently no release information regarding the Off-White x Nike Mercurial Vapor 12 Elite, this pair could likely be part of the Off-White x Nike soccer collection rumored to be releasing to celebrate this summer's 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
