Dior x Air Jordan, Prada x Adidas, and now you can add Maison Margiela to the latest list of fashion houses collaborating with sneaker brands. But this collaboration wasn't as tame as the aforementioned projects from Dior and Prada.

Instead, Margiela's pairing with Reebok went all-out, combining the French label's split-toe Tabi boot toe with the upper traits of the sportswear brand's Instapump Fury. The result is every bit as obstrusive as it sounds on paper, but the social media reactions aren't as one-sided as one might expect. The shoes—which will drop in six colorways in both high heel and sneaker variations—garnered a mixed reaction on Twitter.

UPDATE (02/27): Release details regarding Maison Margiela's unique Reebok Instapump collab has been revealed. Both the flat and heel versions of the collab are now scheduled to release in Sept. 2020 in six iterations including solid black and white makeups, as well as dressed in the model's OG colorways. Retail pricing has yet to be announced.
