Foot Locker is linking up with Europe's biggest sneakerheads as it celebrates its 45th anniversary, and asking sneaker culture's most important voices the street's most important question: what's the greatest sneaker of all time? You can join the conversation and select your own favourites with the hashtag #NameYour5.
Spanning across six European countries, Foot Locker has teamed up with sneakerheads – both OGs and newcomers – to pay tribute to sneaker culture by sharing their personal take on the waviest shoes ever. Sharing their top five sneakers of all time, 17 people including Kish Kash, Steel Banglez, Mini Swoosh and more have created personal videos where they speak about sneaker culture's holy grails.
Kish Kash – DJ, radio show presenter, author and shoe connoisseur – talks about his love for the Puma Suede Classics; Steel Banglez – producer, solo artist and sneaker collector – sings the praises of the adidas Yeezy and Mini Swoosh, aka Alexandra Hackett – menswear designer known for her extensive Nike collection – waxes lyrical about the Nike Waffle. The series is igniting a worldwide discussion with people being asked to #NameYour5.
Sneaker lovers across Europe will also have the chance to bag a pair of ‘birthday sneakers’ themselves with the launch of four exclusive silhouettes, released specifically for the anniversary celebrations, which drop in a black and white striped colourway inspired by Foot Locker staff.
These include the adidas LA Trainer, adidas AM4 Ultra Boost, Puma Liquid Cell and Converse Chuck Taylor – all taking inspiration from the iconic Foot Locker stripes and logo in celebration of 45 years of partnership.
