Premium footwear brand AUXILIARY is making waves as it finds its footing within the scene.

AUXILIARY is establishing itself as something truly unique, paying homage to cultural designs that were ahead of their time, providing a story and aesthetic that exists between times. Standing as the brainchild of footwear designer Matthew Taylor and Graeme Gaughan of Tourne de Transmission, the brand echoes the pairs shared love of skateboarding and vintage Hi-Fi culture.

The pair reminisce on a time in which they recorded the audio from skate films in the 90s via the AUX output on VCRs into a tape recorder – a time before streaming. These inspirations path the way for high levels of detail across their silhouettes with re-engineered acoustic textile applied across the brands base range where canvas would normally be used.  A chunky sole is achieved through the mix of Gross-grain and premium leathers, aiding comfort and quality.

3M reflective indicators on each heel are made to mirror equalisers or volume levels,  with textured details on the shoe’s spoiler mirroring “knurling”, a process used to add texture to knobs or dial’s in the audio manufacturing world.

For those looking for high levels of details, alongside premium aesthetics and construction that tell a story, look no further. AUXILIARY is set to launch their debut collection at Selfridges and Liberty this August.
