What if you could combine fashionable footwear with the utmost comfort? Sounds pretty good, right? adidas went one step further with the high-performance running shoe AM4LA by adding an environmentally friendly component. Utilizing a unique material called Parley Ocean Plastic®, each pair of AM4LAs helps prevent the equivalent of 11 plastic bottles from polluting our oceans.

To celebrate this innovative launch, adidas opened a SPEEDFACTORY Lab Experience for the public in Santa Monica, California. Attendees were able to check out custom, private foot scan technology that revealed data about their individual running patterns, in addition to other interactive experiences.

SPEEDFACTORY champions sports data-driven design, testing concepts with Los Angeles runners, like Diana Mireles. The AM4LA's cutting-edge PRIMEKNIT provides vital ventilation to keep feet cool and dry, no matter how tough the workout. Plus, AM4LA boasts BOOST technology, adidas’ most responsive cushioning to date. So, you can be completely comfortable, without sacrificing performance.

Not only can these sneaks help take your run the extra mile, their minimal material-waste design is a good look. The shoe’s upper contains Parley Ocean Plastic® yarns, a material 100 percent recycled and made from the plastic debris of coastal areas, retrieved before it can enter the ocean.
