Tonight, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers will meet from Minneapolis.

At 10-11, the T'Wolves are on track to record one of their most successful seasons in nearly a decade. During recent years, Minnesota has hit some rough patches, and in the 2009-10 season they finished at an abysmal 15-67. Now, they seem to be back on a winning path and are being led by big man Kevin Love, whose name has already come up in early MVP discussions.

Meanwhile, the 76ers are relying on their young legs to get the job done, as guys like Michael Carter-Williams, Evan Turner, and Spencer Hawes have become key contributors for Philly. See which team is able to pull through tonight at 8PM.

Interestingly enough, the Timberwolves and 76ers also met on this day 13 years ago. Of course, their rosters were much different on December 11, 2000. Minnesota was powered by Kevin Garnett, who had earned a reputation as one of the NBA's most intimidating big men in just his sixth season. On the flip side, Philly's squad was led by Allen Iverson, who would go on to win his first and only MVP award at the end of the 2000-01 season. However, it wouldn't be an easy path for Iverson.

Minnesota ended up with a 96-91 road win over Philadelphia, which was due in large part to the stellar play from Kevin Garnett. KG had 23 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and smothered a few 76ers on defense as well (check out the photo above.)

During this dominant showing, Kevin Garnett wore a PE version of the And1 Mad Game Select. Garnett had previously been a Nike guy, but briefly joined And1 during 2000 before eventually ending up at adidas. Nowadays, Kevin Garnett has switched it up yet again and now wears Anta brand sneakers.
