Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep.

The latest visual offers a bit more context for the characters we saw in the first trailer and a better look at the trauma Danny Torrance (Ewan McGregor) endured during his childhood while staying at The Overlook in The Shining.

He soon meets Abra (Kyliegh Curran), a teenager who has a powerful extrasensory gift, called the “shine.” Torrance sees that she shares the same power as him, and needs his help combating their mutual enemy, Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson) and her followers, The True Knot who seek immortality.

Mike Flanagan previously directed the re-imagining of Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House (2018) and Gerald’s Game (2017), both for Netflix. He also wrote, directed, and edited three films in 2016: Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Before I Wake.

In addition to McGregor, Ferguson, and Curran, the main ensemble cast also includes Carl Lumbly, Zahn McClarnon, Emily Alyn Lind, Bruce Greenwood, Jocelin Donahue, Alex Essoe and Cliff Curtis. Doctor Sleep lands in theaters Nov. 8.
