The cast of CBS mega-hit The Big Bang Theory is getting the LEGO treatment. You know, because every little kid loves pretending to be socially awkward scientists. It will include Sheldon and Leonard's living room, where much of the sitcom takes place, figures of Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, Amy and Bernadette plus nerd accessories like a Rubik's Cube, a mini Death Star and a DNA strand. The idea was submitted by two users in the annual LEGO Ideas Project. Here's their prototype:

1.

Past winners include Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and Minecraft. Prototypes have to get 10,000 votes to be considered by the LEGO team. A bird project was also approved, and two Doctor Who proposals are still being looked at. There will be a second review in January including Wall-E, the X-Men Mansion, LEGO lightsabers and the Hubble Space Telescope. The actual design of the Big Bang Theory set, plus pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
