Police in Pennsylvania have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting at a mall near Pittsburgh which left three people injured yesterday.

The Associated Press reports that authorities took 17-year-old Tarod Thornhill into custody at his Brackenridge, Pa. home just after 3 a.m. this morning. Thornhill allegedly shot two men and a woman at the Monroeville Mall yesterday evening. Although he fled the scene, Monroeville police used surveillance footage and images that appeared on social media to track Thornhill down.

According to the Associated Press, Monroeville Police Chief Doug Cole said this was not a random attack:

Police Chief Douglas Cole said two men and a woman were shot, including the man who was targeted. He said the two men were in critical condition, while the woman was in stable condition.

This was not random, Cole told reporters. We have evidence that leads to that. He declined to elaborate.

Thornhill faces charges for attempted homicide, recklessly endangering others, and aggravated assault.
