Bryan Cranston Was Never Approached To Play Lex Luthor In "Batman vs. Superman"

But he says he would have taken the role if he had been.

Perhaps this was just too good of a thing to have actually been true. Last summer, rumors surfaced that Bryan Cranston was in the running to play Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie. However, he shot down the notion in an interview with radio host Howard Stern: "I was not involved in any of that whatsoever," Cranston said. But what would he have said if he had been? "Oh, oh, I would have welcomed it."

"In the minds of fans, it's true," he added. "In the minds of the hierarchy of Warner Brothers, it's not true."

C'est la vie. At least we get Cranston in that Godzilla movie, which looks pretty awesome.
