The hot tub starts bubbling this Friday...
The problem with most time travel movies is they get bogged down with too much sci-fi mumbo jumbo about space-time continuums, wormholes (ayo!), and other nonsense that makes us feel like we're back in ninth grade physics. That's why we were thrilled when when we saw the trailer for Hot Tube Time Machine. Because with a cast that includes Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and John Cusack, how serious of a movie can you really make?
Hot Tub Time Machine, in theaters on Friday, is about four guys who accidentally travel back in time (in a time machine that's a—wait for it!—hot tub!) to the '80s where they buy up a bunch of shoes to bring back and sell on eBay try to change the outcome of their lives. All that back and forth got us to thinking about a history of time machine movies...
