Hours before coverage of the 2020 Oscars was set to begin, the tent outside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles started to leak, causing portions of the red carpet to get soaked. Minor panic ensued when the first leak was spotted while staff members sprung into action to prevent any further disaster as water from the storm, which started around 1 p.m., began to pool on the tent.

Clearly they have sworn to protect the glamour of this red carpet at all costs! 😂 #Oscars but I fear this isn’t the best technique... pic.twitter.com/HdIj96p8ny

To address the drops that kept dripping onto the red carpet, the staff spared no expense on a bucket that could collect the water with its own roped off section.

As the old adage goes, the show must go on, and despite some minor hiccups, the Oscars have kept it moving.
