“I feel blessed to get paid to do what I love,” says DJ Akademiks. The co-host of Complex Network’s hit series Everyday Struggle, where he gets to talk about music and all things pop culture four times a week, is doubling down on his blessings with the announcement of a new show centered around his other passion, video games.
On the Sticks is Complex’s first gaming series and follows Akademiks as he travels from city to city challenging a different celebrity guest each week to a game on Xbox One X. As they play, they’ll talk music, culture, giving back and what’s new with each guest. At stake is more than just bragging rights, as the winner of each episode walks away with a highly coveted prize while the loser is forced to take on a punishment that really hits home.
