If you're unfamiliar with these two individuals, you're definitely not one of the millions consuming video game content on YouTube. Back when Five Nights at Freddy's was the wave, the YouTube Gaming community invested hundreds of hours on the surprise hit. People played the addictive horror game, but the real fun was watching YouTubers like Markiplier get the shit scared out of them during their now-famous Let's Play sessions for the game. That's how I got introduced to Markiplier (real name: Mark Fischbach), who's not only placing in the top 50 of all channels on YouTube, but has amassed over 40 million subscribers watching his content to the tune of 200 million views a month. There's a reason Forbes named him as the No. 1 influencer in gaming back in 2017. Sean McLoughlin, better known to his over 35 million subscribers as jacksepticeye, is an Irish gamer who is also sitting in the top 50 of all YouTube channels, as well as having the most-subscribed channel in Ireland.
Needless to say, Jack is correct when he spoke in the above video about there being a need for a clothing brand by, and most importantly for, gamers. Brands cater to specific lifestyles, and while some outfits have merch, there's not a lot truly speaking to gamers, especially on the higher-end of fashion. CLOAK's here to change that.
Pre-orders kick off today (October 19), and feature an array of hoodies, quater-zip tops, and t-shirts, with varying styles of shorts, leggings, and sweatpants debuting in the near future. Pricing ranges from $35-$85; CLOAK does ship internationally and plans to start with items expecting to ship in November.
For now, be sure to follow CLOAK on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook; for the time being, check out some CLOAK's gear down below.
