Pete Davidson seems a lot like your average young comedian with an affinity for tattoos and dick jokes. He looks a bit like a college dropout (he is) who smokes a lot of weed (he does). The difference between him and other up and coming stoner comedians, however, is that he's a cast member on Saturday Night Live, something most comedians only dream of. His casting in 2014 caused some chatter, and continues to do so, as he's one of the youngest cast members ever and is the first cast member born in the 1990s.
His stint on SNL for the past four seasons has been mostly successful,. He hasn't made as big a splash as Kate McKinnon or other recent SNL power players, and doesn't have any memorable sketches to his name, but he's a reliable player whose found his own niche within the show, and has had some of his Weekend Update segments go viral. He is also managing a successful part time movie career, with supporting roles in the upcoming comedies What Men Want and Going Places, both due later this year.
While Davidson has never been a household name, he is now, at least among the younger set. He recently announced his engagement to mega pop star Ariana Grande, making his name known to pretty much anyone who's been obsessed with her song "No Tears Left To Cry" and subsequent album Sweetener this past summer. Here's all you need to know about Pete Davidson.
