We knew that Tiffany Haddish would dominate as the host of this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards, and that’s exactly what she did, particularly with her mock revamps of recent releases.

The Girls Trip star opened the awards show on Monday night with a spoof of the Black Panther coronation ceremony scene, which also featured her Girls Trip co-stars Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith. After T’Challa announced that he’s king, Haddish entered as his opponent, stating, “Well I'm Tiffany Haddish and I know who bit Beyoncé!” The two struggled for a bit, and T’Challa disappeared; later, Haddish consumed the drink that will give her powers, and instead of Black Panther, she became the Black Unicorn.

In another parody from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Haddish was opposite Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). “You look like a fucked up Keanu Reeves,” Haddish joked, before she started flirting with Kylo.

“Are you into black girls? Are you a big ol' freak? Put you into some high-waisted pants and you'd be irresistible to me. A man in high-waisted pants is my biggest weakness,” she adds. Kylo soon appeared in high-waisted pants, and Haddish became flustered. Later, they battled over a back massager.

The biggest surprise of the night, though, was when Haddish won the award for best comedic performance for Girls Trip, though are we really surprised? “I didn't prepare nothing for this part,” she said. During her speech, she thanked her fans, as well as Latifah and Smith. “I can't wait ‘til we do the next one. I need all the work in the world so I don't get in trouble,” Haddish said, teasing a possible Girls Trip sequel.
