Apple has officially entered the animated comedy market after landing a new show from Loren Bouchard, the creator of Bob’s Burgers. The series, titled Central Park, tells the story of how "a family of caretakers, who live and work in Central Park, end up saving the park — and basically the world,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The show features a star-studded voice cast that includes Josh Gad, two former Hamilton cast members in Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs, Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, and Kathryn Hahn. Gad and Bouchard will write the script for the show, and serve as executive producers, while Nora Smith, who also worked on Bob’s Burgers, will be a consultant.

Central Park has already been given a two-season order of 13 epsiodes each. This series serves as the latest venture into the scripted show format for Apple. The tech giant has already secured numerous projects, including an untitled thriller from M. Night Shymalan, a comedy series starring Kristin Wiig, Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories anthology, and morning show drama starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.

After announcing its plan to spend $1 billion on original programming in 2018, Apple has now focused its efforts on recruiting the top talent in the game. So far, so good.
